My research focuses on understanding processes of cost-benefit decision making involving physical effort. In addition, I am developing paradigms for behavioral change that involve physical effort. My study applies the use of the Biopac system to collect physiological measurements including grip force and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), in order to investigate how having to physically exert effort influences motivational processes and uncover its underlying neural mechanisms.
